Description

GlusterFS is an open source scalable network filesystem that aggregates disk storage resources from multiple servers into a single global namespace.

Use cases for GlusterFS include cloud computing, streaming media and content delivery.

Scale-out storage systems based on GlusterFS are suitable for unstructured data such as documents, images, audio and video files, and log files.

Platform as a Service

GlusterFS is deployed on-premise in cegedim.cloud's data centers.

cegedim.cloud guarantees the same level of service as the Compute offer : deployment of instances, maintenance in operational condition, flexibility, security and monitoring are thus ensured by our experts.

GlusterFS has multiple advantages :

  • Scalability

  • Handles thousands of clients

  • POSIX compatible

  • Can use any ondisk filesystem that supports extended attributes

  • Accessible using industry standard protocols like NFS and SMB

  • Provides replication, quotas, Geo-replication, snapshots and bitrot detection

  • Allows optimization for different workloads

  • Open Source
